So about a month ago I had started a new playthrough of DAI. I got about 30 hours in before I got sidetracked with other games. Been primarily focusing on the horror games I’ve been playing for my YouTube videos.
However, yesterday, after a friend told me that she was just now going to get around to playing DAI, I congratulated her, yet stated that starting less than a week before the release of Halo 5 might not be the best idea, as a good playthrough of DAI is at least 150 hours. Then Dragon Age’s twitter account asked if I was up to the challenge of completing (100%) Dragon Age before the release of Halo 5, you can see the tweets below:
Now…who am I to turn down putting my life on hold to play Dragon Age non-stop until Tuesday… so of course I had to accept.
So now that I was tasked with starting over my only concern was that I liked the previous character I created so much, that I wanted to keep it, but that game was already 30 hours in. I also didn’t want to waste another hour (or couple of hours) on character creation. My solution: I still had screenshots of all the sliders for the character I created a month ago, so I just recreated the same character (more or less, as close as you can get with screenshots anyway) and started anew.
I do however find myself questioning whether this is even possible. After all my first playthrough clocked in at around 165 hours (admittedly I’m sure there was some wasted time). To try to complete the game in 4 days, including the DLC (which I haven’t played at all yet), seems to be a monumental task. I’m not much of a speedrunner, and I’m not even sure what the best way to cut time out of DAI is aside from skipping through cutscenes and dialog and not wasting too much time on exploration, while still getting 100%…
