Cosplay Progress

So I finally started making some progress on my Rogue Inquisitor cosplay. Mainly I determined that the pattern for the vest wasn’t going to work and I’m scrapping that for now…

But I suppose that’s all part of it, right? Trial and error? Luckily I wasn’t confident enough in the pattern, to begin with, so I didn’t use the only (perfectly colored) leather I had for the vest. Instead, I used some leftover vinyl to test it. While I figure out what to do with it, I’m going to start working on the coat. For which I am happy to report I finally found the fabric I wanted. I already have a pattern that I think will be a good starting point.

So to get started I figured I should finally show you guys what I’m trying to do. So this is what I’m going for:

Rogue Inquisitor

This is obviously not the iconic Inquisitor look from the cover, but it is actually my favorite armor in the game.

At this point, I think I have all the fabric I need to complete this. I have currently been working on the Inquisition emblems on the armor and I think I’m off to a good start. I’m going to create a mold out of one of them just in case I ever want to make more. For example, one to put on this bottle. If you’re wondering why it’s on the bottle, it’s because I was using it to shape the worbla around it. I since have decided that I liked how it looked, so I might make another one just to put on this bottle, hence the mold!

Potion Bottle

Anyway, getting ready to get started on the weapons as well. I will put that in a separate post once there has been a bit more progress than simply the basic pattern on paper. Wish me luck!
